Refastening a loose gutter hanger into solid fascia during a minor gutter repair in Tampa
Most gutter repair in Tampa starts with weight. A gutter full of wet oak leaves and standing water is genuinely heavy, and on older homes with spike-and-ferrule hangers — common on 1960s and 70s Carrollwood and Seminole Heights houses — that weight slowly pulls fasteners out of the fascia. The run droops, water pools in the low spot instead of moving to the outlet, and the pooling adds more weight.
Sealant is the other one. End caps and seams are sealed joints, and Florida sun cooks sealant until it shrinks and cracks. The drip that follows lands on the fascia board, which stays wet, which is how you get rot in the one piece of wood holding your gutters up.
We refasten loose hangers into solid wood, re-pitch a run so it drains to the outlet, reseal separated seams and end caps, resecure downspout straps, and add extensions and splash blocks where water is landing against the slab. All of it while we are already on the ladder, which is most of what makes it affordable.
What we do not do is pretend. If the fascia behind your gutter is soft, that is carpentry before it is gutter work. If a run has been re-pitched twice and still holds water, or the aluminum has corroded through, or you need seamless gutters installed, you need a gutter installer and we will say so. Cleaning around a real problem and charging you for it is not a service.
Every repair recommendation comes with a picture of the actual problem on your actual house, taken from the ladder. You look at it, you decide, and nothing gets touched before that.
There is no version of this where the price changes once we are up there and you cannot see what we are looking at. That is the entire reason we photograph everything.

Booking online holds the day. The price is confirmed by call or text before we come out, because it depends on your roofline — and it does not change once the ladder is up.

Everything homeowners ask us about this one, answered plainly.
We handle small repairs — refastening loose hangers, re-pitching a sagging run, resealing separated seams and end caps, resecuring downspout straps, adding extensions. Full replacement, seamless gutter installation and fascia carpentry are other trades, and we will tell you that rather than improvise.
“What sold me was that he told me one section of my gutter needed resealing and that it was not something he was going to charge me to clean around. Honest about what he could and could not do. That is rare.”
